Ghost City Press 2023 Summer Series
presents the micro-chapbook

have you heard the one about…?

A poet hears a joke. Writes a poem—“when asked how to avoid being seen as racist”—invoking an old joke. A group of racists get very (very) upset about the poem and attempt to “cancel” him. It didn’t work. The poet then writes a micro-chapbook based on the experience because he has no chill.

With humor and biting wit, in these nine poems, Henry uncovers the hypocrisy and hate filling the heart of some, while also presenting how loudly the next generation declares their elders …are dying out and /don’t speak for us—have never spoken for us and / we will replace them and raise our children better.

Ghost City Press has published it as part of their 2023 Summer Series.

There are only nine (9) poems, so you don’t need a sample. Just read the whole thing.
